14th Sep 2010 - Cambois Centenary Dinner and Soiree has been announced. “To celebrate our Centenary Year Cambois Rowing Club is holding a Dinner and Soirée on the evening of Saturday 22nd January at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle.

All connected with rowing in the region, and their guests, are invited - now the catch:
- £35 per ticket.
- £15 non refundable deposit required.
- Cheques made payable to David Wright.
- Over 16's only.
- Dress Code : Formal

As many of you with Ray Sims boats are aware, items such as pins, seat carriages, footboards, footplates, etc. are specific to Ray’s boats. As a result ES Rowing Services Ltd have purchased all of Ray’s stock so have the ability to supply as needed. 7th Nov 2009 - Rowing Coach vacancy. For the rowing season Nov 2009 to July 2010 Queen Elizabeth High School are looking to seek a talented and enthusiastic rowing coach to help out with the coaching of young juniors. It will be an exciting time for crews of the Hexham-based club as a planned NEW boat shed is due to be started in the near future. Experience is desired but not necessary as full support will be given. The role is unpaid but some costs can be covered and travel may be possible from Newcastle to Hexham. Preferred to have a Level 2 Coaching award or IA in old money but again support can be given in achieving this for the right candidate. Position Subject to enhanced CRB check.  Initial interest to be directed to Dave Higgins

With the Junior Residential Camp from 16-21 August, we are aiming to involve leading performers from the current J14, J15 and J16 age groups, and provide them with some of the training and skills they will need to prepare for National Schools and GB Junior trials during the following years.
With the Senior Performance Camp from 10-14 August, we cater for ages 17 upwards, and are looking to involve those who are interested in participating in GB Under 23 trials, the Northern Sculling Series, the Scullers Head or other Heads and Regattas in the 2009/10 season.
For those looking to scull on a more recreational basis, we offer the Senior Club Camp, also from 10-14 August, which also caters for ages 17 upwards, and offers more relaxed single sculling with shorter outings, as well as crew sculling on a number of the days.
The camps are run at our water training base at Newburn and from our land training base at Maiden Castle in Durham. Athletes are encouraged to bring their own equipment, although we have do have a number of sculling boats and blades which are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Coaches wishing to be involved in the camps are also welcome to attend and support their athletes. Any questions feel free to email John Thicknes
