Report on JIRR from Pauline Higgins, Team Manager:
I just want to say first a huge thank you to all of the coaches who gave up their
weekend to support those athletes who were chosen to represent the Northern Region.
Please can you pass on my thanks and congratulations to all of those involved especially
all those who won medals.
I would also like to thank the Northern Rowing Council for its support for our juniors
to attend the Regatta. The cost of entries and sweatshirts amounts to just over £3000;
this is paid for with profits from the LDS series.

Despite the record medal haul the team only accrued 139 points placing the Northern
Region in 8th place, a big drop from 4th place last year.
I am sure you all kept track of your own crew's times and placings but if you are
interested in results for the team see the spreadsheet with times/placings from both
heats and finals here -pdf or xlsx. Geoff took photos of all the medal winners
and has put together a poster as above, also on Facebook.
Regional trials on 11 March 23 - results and team selection
These were held at Cambois RC on Saturday 11 March 23. The results of the trial
races and the team selected following the trial are here:

National Schools Regatta - 26 to 28 May 23
The region’s clubs had a good NSR at Dorney over a long weekend in late May. We ended
up with two bronze medals in very competitive events and lots more good results.
