Sunday League 2022 - Round 4 - Hexham - 3 July 22

Hexham RC’s first Sunday League Skills hosting

This will be Hexham RC’s first hosting of a Sunday League skills session, in this case sculling.

The skills to be tested between straight rowing will be (not necessarily in this order):

- Emergency stop

- Square blade rowing to next station, racing

- 20 rigger dips (riggers touching water, to be judged)

- 360 degree turn

- Blade swap from bow to stroke and vice-versa

- 10 roll ups (clean, to be judged)

- Retrieval of an object and bringing it back to the landing (e.g. rubber duck from a buoy) and then a racing start and back to the finish.

There will be two goes at the course for each team.

We think we’ll stick to stuck to the normal Sunday League timetable for this round, but TBC.

Registration from 11:00

Draw at 11:30

Racing started at 12:00 to the second!

Racing end  by 16:00

Results from last time

Last time at Cambois we had 9 open entries (some mixed) and 5 women’s entries. The results and points coming out of that are here as a pdf. S-Quads on fire (TYU) lead the Women’s table with 23 points. In the Open category (with some mixed crews in there) Berwick's Best share the overall lead with Tynemouth Buoys, both on 22 points.

Entries should be made in the usual way by email on the Excel form to Pam Walton by the preceding Wednesday. See the home page for details.
